Fish with Pursuit
The Pursuit series sees the team fishing at some fantastic venues such as Broadlands, the Test and the Wensum in the UK, the great loughs of Ireland and some superb venues in France such as Lac du Peupliers, Planchette, Les Quis and Puyravaud.
We try to make these shows with a view to them being entertaining to experienced and new anglers alike, and hopefully attract some new converts along the way.
We selected venues at home and abroad to reflect the different venues available and across a variety of species, I concentrated on my preferred style of fishing and the crew and guests pursuing their favourite methods and species.

Broadlands is just off the M27 Nr Romsey, known as the most beautiful coarse fishery the south has to offer, with over 30 acres of water set on an 82 acre estate with breath taking wildlife surrounding you in this peaceful location.
Broadlands lake is fed from the chalk stream rivers of the famous river Test and is now a well established fishery , in one year alone over 4,000 double figure carp were caught including more than 500 over 20lbs.
Carp up to 38lb+ , Grass Carp to 25lb+ , Pike to 30lb+ , Tench to 8lb+ , Roach to 3lb+, Bream to 14lb+ & Eels to 10lb+ have been recorded .There are special features for the disabled angler including lakeside fishing secure platforms & lakeside carpark.

Etang Meunier is a wonderfully tranquil 6 acre lake set in the beautiful countryside of the Limousin region of France. Situated in mature woodland, this private stream-fed lake is secluded and yet close to many local amenities for anglers and non-fishing guests alike. Meunier has an incredible stock of mirror and common carp – over forty carp weighing over 40lb, with a number of these being over 50lb and going to a top weight of 62lb 8oz. On many weeks the average size of fish caught is over 40lb! In addition Meunier also holds grass carp, tench, roach, pike and big head carp up to 80lb.
EM has been busy making improvements over the winter months with the swims being rebuilt and many snags removed following a compulsory drain-down of the lake. When you book a stay at Meunier both the lake and bungalow are for the exclusive use of your party for the duration of your stay and are rented on a weekly basis (Sat to Sun) from mid-March to the end of October.

Le Lac Du Peupliers consists of a peaceful and secluded 6 acre mature tree-lined lake set within the stunning countryside of Brittany. The lake ranges from 5 ft to 10 ft in depth presenting a large island – a fantastic feature to cast to as well as beautiful open water areas which present different opportunities. The lake is nature sufficient, rich with natural food including bloodworm, freshwater snails and swan mussels. It also has weed bed, island features, deep margins and over hanging trees.
The lake consists of 80-100 carp including two known 60lb+ carp, a good head of 50lb+ and 40lb+ down to stock sizes of 17lb. Peupliers offers exclusive weekly Sat to Sat bookings for up to 4 anglers on a ‘drive & survive’ basis, although do offer an evening meal package. The season runs from March to November and December to Feb as “off-season”.

Puyravaud’s USP is the quality of the accommodation that they have along with two superb lakes. The programme doesn’t actually show much of this, but it is the quality of the accommodation and the setting that makes them special. Puyravaud offer great fishing in a beautiful setting and an ability to take families and groups up to 20 with half that number fishing their two estate lakes.
Puyravaud are a great venue for families as they also have a beautiful swimming pool and lots to do locally. Everybody gets a holiday at Puyravaud – not just the fishing types!!!!!!
